It's very hard to find stone crab anywhere in New York (I had never heard of it until my partner introduced me to it), and I'm sure there is no way to get it fresher. The mustard sauce that goes with it is also perfect. It is a messy meal-- that's part of the fun! It's helpful to keep the stone crab in the bag that they come in, and crack them with the mallet from outside the bag. ”
